Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Before school drop-off

  • Curbside drop-off begins at 7:45 am. Please remain with your student until that time. Staff will be on hand to direct students to their line-up areas.
  • The first bell rings at 8:05 am. The second bell rings, and school begins at 8:10 am. Students will receive a tardy slip if they arrive at their classroom later than 8:10 am.
  • If you arrive at the school after 8:07 am, students will be directed to enter through the front office doors and proceed to their classrooms. 

Picking up your student during the school day

  • If your student has an appointment, and you need to pick them up prior to dismissal time, be sure to bring in your ID, as you will need to provide ID to our office staff.

After school curbside pickup

  • Student pick-up time is 2:40 pm.
  • For convenient curbside pickup, please pull through to the designated curbside pickup zone and line up at the STOP line if you arrive early. Be sure to have your car rider tag hanging from your rearview mirror. 
  • Staff will call for your student(s) who are waiting in the courtyard, and they will cross to meet you at your vehicle in the curbside drop-off/pickup zone. Students will not be able to meet you in the parking lot. Please do not exit your vehicle; we need to keep the flow going.
  • Please note that there are two left car lanes for exiting the campus. The far right lane is for buses to enter.
  • If a PM bus route is late or canceled, students will be sent to the courtyard for curbside pickup. The remaining students will wait with the staff until the bus arrives.

Changing after-school transportation

Please notify the office as early as possible on the day of any transportation changes. Please send a note with your student or email the office staff at MESOffice@ntps.org before 1:30 pm on the day of the change on regular school days (12:30 pm on ACT Wednesdays and 10:30 am on half days). 

Only a parent/legal guardian is allowed to change student transportation.

Please remind any authorized person picking up your student to carry their ID.

Parking lot reminders

  • Do not block the parking lot entry if waiting in the curbside line.
  • The right-hand drive through lane is for curbside drop-off and pick-up. The left-hand lane is a vehicle bypass lane.
  • NO double-parking in the lot, please!
  • Do not drop-off or pick-up students in the parking lot.
  • No parking on the west side of Deerbrush Drive (opposite to the school)
  • No U-turns in front of the bus exit on Deerbrush Drive for safety reasons
  • The parking lot is busy, avoid dropping small children off in the parking lot to independently walk from the lot towards the school in the morning. Please escort your student through the parking lot if you park and pick up.
